Corien Lywood is afgestudeerd aan de ArtEZ University of the Arts. Kunst is een continue proces in haar leven. Haar schilderijen zijn op groot formaat, abstract en meestal kleurrijk. Haar kunst vertelt verhalen. Inspiratie haalt ze uit de natuur, reizen en de manier waarop licht een rol speelt in het leven. Elk schilderij heeft een eigen proces. Ieder canvas heeft een verhaal te vertellen. De kunstwerken worden gemaakt in haar studio aan huis. Gebruikte technieken zijn acrylverf, houtskool en oliepastel op linnen. Bijna elk werk heeft fragmenten met goud. Lagen verf worden één voor één op het doek gemodelleerd om een verhaal in verf te vangen. Kunst heeft de kracht om de energie te veranderen in een ruimte. Zo voegen schilderijen een nieuwe dimensie toe aan leefruimtes. Elke keer valt iets nieuws te ontdekken.
Corien Lywood graduated from ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands. She is currently living in the middle of the country. Art is an ongoing process in her life. Her artworks are large scale, abstract and usually colourful. Her art tells stories. Inspiration is drawn from nature, travelling, and the way light moves through life. Every painting goes through a process. Each canvas has its story to tell. Artworks are painted from her studio at home. Techniques used are acryl, charcoal and oil pastels on linen. Almost every piece of work has pieces of gold. Layers of paint are modelled one by one on the canvas to catch the story in paint. Art has the power to change the energy in a space.
